I am trying not to count the days. I am trying to appreciate the mornings spent reading in the sunshine. Or the cherry blossoms bursting out of every corner of this campus. To appreciate those ohmygoodness-so-delicious mushroom and spinach omelets at breakfast. Or the beauty of a deep dark beet chocolate cake still warm from the oven. Or the friends lying on a lawn, lounging away an afternoon. Or the little acts of beauty or happiness that seem to pepper my life. I am trying to be grateful. To not be a walking talking example of first world problems. But in the back of my mind, I'm still counting the weeks, the days. Tick, tock, tick.
So here's to March. And here's to living in the moment. The future will come anyway.
