A few weeks ago I went to Korea town for the day with a couple friends- my first time really exploring the big bad world of Los Angeles. Looking back, it was a turning point in how i see my life here- I came to realize that there is a whole world beyond the bubble of Claremont, California, one that i'm excited to discover!
We spent the day wandering the streets, and were lucky enough to stumble upon the annual Korean Festival. From food stalls, to strange tea tastings, to Korean block printing, to the grand Korean parade- the festival was exciting, a little bit weird and quite an experience. I can now proudly say that each of my visits to Los Angeles has somehow involved an Asian neighborhood, and a damn good meal. I guess we know where my preferences lie!
